Dear Naresh:

I went nostalgic after reading some of the comments by TNAcians. I was a senior master teaching commerce for 1982-84 period when Francis Fanthome also joined as the Principal. Some of my students like Vijay Thirani, Manoj Goyal, Lobzang Tenzing (LOBO-head boy too), Dicki Palzor Barfungpa,Angela Dorjee names are still in my memory. I lived a brief but very interesting time in Gangtok. Some of my colleagues were SS Shome, Virk, Crafty Srivastava, Arty Srivastava, Renuka chakraborty, Ashokan, Dey (coach-sports, Mrs. Subba, Kenny Cashmore and several others. I left to join Govt of Goa in civil services and now I am a Canadian University professor here.

If you happen to know some of the named persons and if they still remember me, tell them that I have saved my memories of TNA forever!!!!

i really loved the way you descibed our school, i remember how you used to win stacks and stacks of books on prize day ad i used to tell my mother that i wanted to be like you and win books like you, i was just in lkg then.My father has always good things to say about you and i don’t actually remember you, i just remember your slender and tall silhouette on the stage.

I happened to come across your website on TNA. I studied there from 1975-1980. The principal when I joined was Dr. Fanthome, and soon after was Dr. Madhusudan Singh. I still remember when he composed the TNA song and we had the first try out at the Assembly. I remember Mr. Ranpal. His daughter Mallika was in my class. The Chogyal was still around in the palace, and the Crown Prince used to come and play football on the school grounds, every once in a while. We were in awe of the Royal family, as we had several of the younger ones in our class. One of my class mates married Palden Namgyal, the son of Chogyal and Hope Cooke. Well the teachers I remember were Mr.Srivastava who subsequently became principal, he taught Geography, I remember Mr. Chakravarty, he was hilarious. Another Srivastava taught Craft, Mr Virk taught Maths. I remember a lot of faces, but not all the names. I would love to do a trip to Sikkim someday. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

hey…really enjoyed going through your page and you have put everything together so beautifully.
I think my days in tna have been one of the most beautiful days in my life and where ever i go TNA will always be in my heart.
Its something that it does to you no matter how far you go it always haunts you…the silver jubilee song….the cherry trees blooming ..the smell of chlorine in the pool…all of it… its like you want to go back all over again.
