hey, i was looking around for information on sikkim and stumbled on a familiar computing URL with ’sikkim’ in it. I graduated from SoC few years ago. I love Sikkim. The place is heavenly, esp Yuksam. Just nice to know that there’s someone in Singapore from Sikkim. I am planning a trek up Goechala in December. *smile*

Yes, I trekked to Yuksam and Dzongri with my school friends in 1994. It’s beautiful.
All the best for your Goechala trek! Am sure you’ll love it.

Dear,Friend
The name `India’ is derived from the River Indus, the valleys around which were the home of the early
settlers. The Aryan worshippers referred to the river Indus as the Sindhu. The Persian invaders converted it
into Hindu.
